District Energy Schemes are a 21st century shift to sustainable and efficient use of energy in our buildings. A DES links buildings; sharing heating and cooling systems and taking advantage of economies of scales. Heat and cooling share a common piping system (which is hydraulically separated) and energy is generated using renewable fuels.
